Tell Me O Khuda Review
Tell Me O Khuda is all about a girl's journey to find her biological father. The movie seems to have drawn inspiration from Amanda Seyfried's Mamma Mia (2008). It throws light on female foeticide. The movie falls flat with its dragging narration, which lacks the dramatic punches. Hema Malini's immaturity in handling this complex subject is absolutely shocking. She utterly fails to maintain the tempo.
Tanya (Esha Deol) is an established writer, who is leading a posh life. Her life takes a new twist after she learns that she is an adopted child of Rajasthan royal (Vinod Khanna). Along with Jai (Arjan Bajwa) and Kuki (Chandan Roy Sanyal), she sets on a journey to find her biological parents. What efforts she makes to find her parents and whether she will become successful in her attempts will form the rest of the story.
The story completely centres on Esha Deol's character and she has a huge scope in the film. But the actress has failed to deliver a convincing act. Esha continues with her old childish performance. Arjan Bajwa and Chandan Roy Sanyal have less scope, but they have used the available screen space to show their skills. Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Hema Malini and Dharmendra remind you of their past glory. Farooq Sheikh and Deepti Naval are good in their respective role.
On the technical front, music and camera works are considered the highlights. But music of Tell Me O Khuda hardly impress the audience. The cinematography is good, but looks old-fashioned. The dialogues are simple and unimpressive. Overall, it is an average movie, which you can give a miss.
