Harry Potter leads People's Choice nominations

The People's Choice Awards isn't until next January, but they've already started to roll out the nominations. Over 40 million people cast their vote for the nominees and there are three clear leaders in each respective category that definitely stand out from the pack.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" scored nine nominations for the film section of the awards -- including a shot at "Favorite Movie." Other films nominated are “Bridesmaids,” “The Help,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tides” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon."

As far as TV shows go, "Glee" got the most love this year, with seven nominations. But thanks to America's revived -- no pun intended -- fascination with zombies, "The Walking Dead" was given a nod in the favorite sci-fi show category.

Musically, Katy Perry leads the singing pack at the People's Choice Awards, with seven nominations. But don't worry, both Lady Gaga and Beyonce earn their share too with five noms each.

So, did the American Choice Awards voters get it right? Are "Harry Potter," "Glee" and Katy Perry the hottest things in entertainment right now?
